Students are required to take one subject of Modern History in their first year and then complete three subjects in Ancient History. Study of the ancient world introduces students to historical continuity through the experiences of people in different places and time periods. Historical analysis and interpretation draw on physical evidence as well as written materials to investigate the social, political, economic and cultural life in the ancient past.
