Tourism and travel are among the world’s largest industries, accounting for a quarter of global employment growth and more than 10% of the world’s GDP (World Travel and Tourism Council, 2021). This major provides students with the knowledge and skills to work in a variety of managerial, operational, policy and planning roles in the tourism and heritage sectors. The major has a strong focus on sustainability, culture and innovation, to prepare students to address current and emerging issues in the sectors. Students are provided with opportunities to complete fieldtrips, applied projects and to learn directly from industry and government experts
