Description This subject provides students with the fundamental knowledge for project leadership and team management. Through the application of their developing skill sets to real-world, industry based scenarios, students will develop their capabilities for managing different teams and stakeholders in construction projects to achieve positive project outcomes. Students will explore complex construction project environments and recognise the role of emotional intelligence and project leadership in successful construction project delivery across a diverse range of career paths in the construction and building industries.

  1. Apply theoretical understanding of different project management leadership styles in different project contexts
  2. Appraise emotional intelligence and construction workers behaviours and motivations and evaluate their impact on project management leadership styles
  3. Implement approach for creating effective teamwork and stakeholder collaboration in project environments

 4. Communicate effectively as a project leader in a diverse team and project contexts
