This program is designed for health professionals who are looking to develop paediatric skills to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people. Students will gain skills, knowledge and confidence to identify, assess and manage common paediatric issues. Students will evaluate how social determinants can impact the care for children and make great impact in their role in advocating for paediatric patients. Completing this program will provide students with a stronger foundation in paediatric experience to support their daily practice in local region(s). Every aspect of the program is designed, developed and assessed by experienced academics and experts form Western Sydney University and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. Students will be provided with the opportunity to take part in extracurricular activities to help build skills and establish connections with the community.

An undergraduate or higher degree in any discipline and two years full-time equivalent work experience in a health-related discipline.
Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.

Qualification for this award requires the successful completion of 80 credit points which include the subjects listed below.
