The program is designed to provide students with a range of foundational skills and knowledge in building design and construction that are transferrable to a wide range of career options and future academic study. Through the program, students will understand the tasks performed by various roles in the building industry and investigate a wide scope of construction materials, processes, and technologies. This will develop students’ ability to communicate effectively to construction stakeholders while performing ethically and socially responsibly. The Diploma program offers various avenues by which students can personalise learning and enhance their future employability. The inclusion of additional preparatory subjects is designed to assist students in the transition to study at University level.

Admission
This program is open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents who are aged 17 years or over and not currently enrolled in or completing Year 12 in the same year of intended admission.

Program Structure
Students will need to enrol in one subject that will run online for 17 weeks (in either Autumn or Spring sessions) and will simultaneously study another four subjects on campus in block mode (1 subject studied every 4 weeks) during this period. Please note that subjects in blocks are studied over 4 weeks.
Qualification for this award requires the successful completion of 110 credit points including the subjects listed below.
