Description This subject examines the Australian financial system and capital markets in the context of the banker customer relationship, commercial lending and security (including the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth)). The subject also introduces students to key financial instruments which are used in general banking and finance practice such as letters of credit and performance guarantees. Finally, students will examine key legal concepts in lending and structured finance including securitisation covered bonds and derivatives.
