On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Recognise the importance of a multi-factorial approach to design decision making in the construction industry
- Review and evaluate the economic, environmental and social impacts of major building proposals
- Identify potential areas of conflict between developer and community interests
- Prioritise competing parameters in the establishment of a complex building project
- Integrate knowledge of economic, environmental, regulatory and social constraints in the preparation of the brief for a major construction project
