Description This subject examines the world of environmental risk management and will introduce students to environmental management systems including Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Auditing. The subject considers and examines the application of the precautionary principle in real world situations. Students will also be introduced to methods of quantitative risk assessment as applied to environmental and agricultural risks such as urban, peri-urban and rural growth; industrial and agricultural land use; contaminated land, and climate change.
