Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

Analyse the ways of knowing and the relationship to nursing knowledge and practice.
Discuss the major research paradigms, principles, concepts and processes that inform nursing knowledge and practice.
Evaluate the ethical considerations that must be incorporated by nurse researchers.
Analyse and evaluate literature that may then be utilised as a basis for evidence-based nursing practice.
Discuss how research findings are translated into nursing practice.

7. Critical analysis and evaluation as the basis for utilisation of research in nursing practice.
8. Advanced scholarship and professional presentation development
