The Undergraduate Certificate in Health Services Management provides an introduction to health sciences, focusing on health services management. Health services plays a vital role to ensure that public investment in health is well spent, and that healthcare providers deliver effective, efficient services. It puts basic management studies in the context of the health sector to integrate management skills and knowledge of the health care system. The entry level management expertise can be applied to quality improvement, basic financial management and occupational health and safety. Two areas of growth are in mental health services and the aged care sector.
