NOTE: Available to students from all other programs except those with majors in T021 Public Health or 0055 Public Health. Public health is the science of disease prevention, prolonging life and improving health for individuals and their communities. The Public Health Minor can be used to complement study in another health or interdisciplinary course and students will study topics in health prevention, disease control, population health assessment and measurement, environmental health and community engagement.

Major Structure
For any student at Western who meets the units pre-requisite rules, has sufficient elective space to complete the unit set and is not enrolled in T021, 0055 or M4022. This minor offers a concentrated study in public health for any Western student. The Minor will be noted on the student’s transcript. The minor is made up of 40 credit points.
