The Diploma in Health Science is designed to equip students with valuable knowledge and analytical skills that can be applied to a diverse range of career paths and further academic pursuits. The program takes an interdisciplinary approach, which means it draws from multiple fields of study to provide a foundational understanding of health science. The program also intersects with various social, cultural, environmental and economic factors with societal challenges. Graduates from this program are likely to be equipped to pursue diverse career options and contribute positively to addressing health-related challenges in contemporary society. These include roles in public health, health promotion, recreational therapy, health services management and HPE.

Admission

This program is open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents who are aged 17 years or over and not currently enrolled in or completing Year 12 in the same year of intended admission.

Program Structure

Students will need to enrol in one subject that will run online for 17 weeks (in either Autumn or Spring sessions) and will simultaneously study another four subjects on campus in block mode (1 subject studied every 4 weeks) during this period. Please note that subjects in blocks are studied over 4 weeks.

Qualification for this award requires the successful completion of 110 credit points including the subjects listed below.
