The Secondary English Education (Further Studies) Major (0369) is designed to enhance the discipline knowledge of 1939 BEd (Secondary) students intending to graduate with English as a single teaching area. Students will have opportunities to expand their English knowledge and skills through further studies in communications, linguistics, and creative writing. Only students concurrently registered in the Secondary English Education Major (0354) may take this further studies major as it does not meet NESA requirements for English teaching when taken separately. Students in the Secondary EALD Education Major (0363) must not take this further studies major otherwise they will be ineligible for accreditation with NESA.

Students must successfully complete 80 credit points as follows.
Please note: no more than 30 credit points at Level 1 and a minimum of 30 credit points at Level 3.
