Disability specialist expertise has become a growing area of demand in accordance with changing global policy and social service frameworks. Australia has followed these global trends, with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as the largest area of social policy reform since Medicare. This major develops students’ professional expertise, knowledge and skills to effectively adapt and apply international disability rights-based standards to their professional practice and respond to the competing demands of complex funding and service environments.
