Cyber Security is an essential aspect of today’s information systems. The Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking minor aims to introduce graduates to applications of system security in the disciplines of cloud security, network security and ethical and legal aspects of activities in cyber space. Today, the widespread use of networked systems means protecting these systems from various attacks is more important than ever. This minor covers introductory system security knowledge and applications of security protocols in networked systems, blockchain technologies and crypto currencies. Students will learn fundamental security concepts, practical implementation of the security application programs as well as ethical hacking techniques to protect cyber security.
